In Dominica, company registration is handled by the Registry of Companies, which operates under the Financial Services Unit of the government.
Common company types in Dominica include the Private Limited Company and the Public Limited Company. 

The International Business Companies (IBC) (Repeal) Act, 2021 (Act No. 6 of 2021) came into effect in January 2022.  Existing IBCs were given the option to re-register under the Companies Act as a local entity and be subject to tax obligations or to wind up.
